At the core of this company is one dude, with a love for people, a love for coffee, and a desire to put good coffee in everyone’s hands. Coffee is a profound gift from God; it’s one of those gifts that many enjoy everyday. Yet, it is probably fair to say, most overlook the blessing that coffee is. Think about it, the coffee you drank today at one point was a cherry on a tree. The cherry was picked off of the tree and inside is a mucus-covered seed. That seed is pulled from the cherry, washed, dried, roasted, ground and then drank. But it does not stop there; think of the complexities of coffee… you can enjoy one cup from Brazil and one cup from Tanzania and you will have two unique flavor profiles that are drastically different. Even more so, you can take the same bean and brew it various ways and enjoy so many flavors. And that’s not where it stops! Coffee is not only delicious and profoundly complex, coffee is also one of the best connectors people have. How many times have you met someone for coffee? There are likely thousands of people at this moment meeting over coffee. But coffee does not just connect people in cafés and homes; it connects people globally, people working on farms and in parts of the world that are in impoverished and war torn devastation. Surely, we want people to drink good coffee, but Common Grace Coffee Company will also be a tool to aid people in places that are in desperate need, both physically and spiritually
