Los Galanes’ Dearborn location is unique to it’s sister location in Detroit in that it operates as a self-serve business and has “one menu” that provides both lunch and dinner items. You stand in line, place the order, take a seat and your order is called out by the ticket number given to you. While the service may be different than the Detroit location, which as served Detroit proudly since 1967, Los Galanes Taqueria Dearborn serves the same fresh quality food with fresh quality ingredients as their Detroit location. Their signature dish, the Botana, is a Southwest Detroit tradition and can now be found in their Dearborn location. So what is a Botana? A Botana is hot corn chips layered with a mix of chorizo sausage and pinto beans, then covered with melted Muenster cheese, topped with onions, green peppers, avocados, tomatoes, and pickled jalapenos, sometimes with olives and lettuce on top.
